What is Acid?

I don't like drugs anymore, but when i did, no one could ever give me
an intelligent explanation on what acid is. The best i got was from Yeeking who said it's about experiencing things in a 'raw and inhuman way'. Everyone else just talked shit and said, u just see things. I hate drugs talk but can anyone clearly explain acid.

its totally impossible to ban phil permanently without banning other people at the same time for technical reasons mirsha explained quite well the other day but which i wouldnt be able to.

i was only commenting on the regularity of the acid conversation anyway. jesus christ.

its not a 'pretence at banning him'. how dare you even suggest that cris and i PRETEND to do stuff.

its always genuine attempt to get him to fuck off for a while to be honest.we ban his ips, he gets more. i dont know how he gets through the manual authorisation process so often but he does. there's some kind of bug that cris is too busy to sort out.

the point is loads of people DONT ignore him and so i have to deal with situations like phil telling people he wishes their child would die, etc, which spills over into my real life and is a pain in the arse.

there's no easy way to deal with this. we are doing our best. there are certain behaviours we cant tolerate on this board, and phil is welcome to stay up until the point where he crosses the line again, then the whole sorry boring dull shitting process starts again, and someone will start whingeing about us banning phil and someone will start whingeing about us not banning phil.

I think this bug is......you register, choose a username & password then you get an email with these details. If you then go and change your password through your user prefs you can post without having to be authorised....

I'd just change the passwords on the account. Yes he will keep coming back, he will keep a being a prick so yes I think you may find you have to keep banning him constantly. I wouldn't go as far as emef to say the previous bannings have been a pretence but there is definately something about saying you are going to ban someone, then a week later openly admiting someone is the banned person and just letting him continue to post. There seems to be some sort of idealisitc view here that if we give Phil a gentle nudge on the rump enough times like any kid he'll settle down and start playing by the adults rules.

This just isn't going to happen as it's not in his nature. If you continiously remove him from the forums enough he will go away like all trolls eventually do, or he'll calm down. You may just end up at the stage where you are banning 50 accounts per day but the end result is probably worth it. I know in the past you've said you find it a lot of work admining the board and keeping on top of things, so why not appoint more moderators or admins.

I do think Phil is one of the worst of the best trolls I've seen and quite why he's decided to come here and suck on our sausage is beyond my ken.
