are you addicted to coffee?

I am. not in the physical way but in the mental way where you just love the taste and the smell. what coffee do you like and do you have any special way to prepare it? I really like arabian coffee i think. i think it is espresso beans and served in a little demitasse and it is kind of sweet for some reason

Nah. Tea. It's one of the few good things the British Isles have contributed to the planet.

I like coffee on occasion. if I do drink it I like dark roast styles. black, something with strong flavour and that kicks me in the teeth. I also like tea. all sorts and kinds. but I mainly drink water. especially in the early morning. getting your body hydrated is really important before you drink any diuretics like tea or coffee.

I've quit alcohol and caffeine... caffeine has been relatively easy, it never had any affect on me, until I drank too much anyway...

Alcohol has been harder, especially combined with looking for a new gaff and doing battle with estate agents... But my new working guts has spurred me on to stick with it. I just hope I don't end up looking like those bird like, leftwing activists that seem to occupy the hippy vegan cafe just down the road...

Addicted, not quite, habitualised yes. I have a kickstart every morning, even though I KNOW it's not going to wake me up like a run round the park will... but then I can't do that run without at least one espresso... and if I've had a hard night and have urgent work to do in the morning it'll be 4 double espressos bang-bang-bang-bang hyper hyper to get it done... but whether that's the caffeine or the psychological "yeah coffee" effect that gets my brain rolling, who knows?

I don't mind drinking the odd coffe now and then, but something like espresso gives me palpitations and arrythmia.

Same here, I hate the stuff. It smells like crap and tastes a hundred times worse. If my girlfriend makes me a tea and uses the same spoon that she used for her coffee, I can taste it and have to throw the tea away.

I just can't smell the stuff, makes me want to heave. I hate all the chain coffee stores we get here now. But hey each to their own. Not everyone likes Guinness and I love it!

ooooh yeah, coffee. it´s the best.

there are certain cafés that serves awesome coffe, like the old granny places... there are many shitty places that leaves alittle penny on the heater so it won´t burn. i don´t like that. burned coffe at cafés is a sin!
but the once that are good, are gooood.

when i buy coffe, i got for "classic kaffe" (middleroasted) or "blå mocka" (classic style).

mmmh, cooffffyyyyy.

I love coffee. I like it strong with sugar and cream. I worked at peets. I learned that arabica beans are the best. And french press is the best way to make it. Each cup should have one level table spoon of grounds. They would dump so much coffee. After 30 minutes in the brewer it was dumped. I also drank shitloads there and believe it or not you get used to the caffeine. After a while I could have an esspresso and go to sleep.

I worked at a cafe for 5 years during uni and lived on short blacks. If I didn't have them I'd be falling asleep in lectures (more)....
when I started my new job and I'd go on long drives etc for projects out of town I started getting headaches etc if I didn't have a coffee so I thought "this is well fucked" and have pretty much given up on it except the customary kick start in the morning.

i love coffee. i think i would have a hard time without it. i have just started a new job where we have a proper coffe machine. instant coffee is pretty bad, but its not as bad as starbucks who do the worst coffee (even if you ignore the various ethical issues).

i think the best coffee is a cafe cortado -double espresso with a little dash of milk

aside from coffee tea is good in the early morning, and maybe a nice peppermint tea after a meal.
