Really enjoyed season 2 of Girls. "Let's swap shirts!". It must be good as I care about the characters, even the ones who are dicks (most of the characters are dicks). What is up with Ray's mouth? Anyway, looking forward to it continuing. The Kevin Eldon show is pretty funny. Mad Men is back real soon. YAY. It'll be good to finish off Breaking Bad this summer too. And what's up with Treme only having 6 more episodes this next season? God Bless TV. |

Looking forward to Breaking Bad.
Turned the first episode of Kevin Eldon show off after 15 mins when I realised I hadn't laughed once.... and I laugh at any old shit. |

You're both wrong. I found Kevin Eldon hilarious. It's just silly. Not trying to prove a point, or be clever, just be utterly ridiculous. A few sketches were off the mark, but mostly, I thought it was great.

it would've been a lot funnier if he hadn't told us what the joke was beforehand. i fucking hate it when comedians do that. in fact, it's the single WORST thing any comedian can EVER do, INCLUDING MURDER

Surely the joke is kind of given away as soon as he starts speaking?

silly is fine and my threshold of laughter is piddling, I find myself laughing at any old shit even if I'm not particularly enjoying it. I was mildly pissed too. Very disappointing.

A couple of people have said they didn't like it, although they expected to. I genuinely enjoyed it, was giggling through most of the second episode.

That's true, also let's quote something Barry Cryer says about how no-one laughs and the hedgehog (or similar) dies. I really detest discussion of the art of comedy, particularly standup. Jimmy Carr has a Phd in it. It's Kevin is intermittently funny. My favourite UK comedy show though is Miranda. I mean Limmy! Sorry, always mixing those 2 up. I watched some of the Beyonce HBO documentary last night. Yeah.. no. Cheesy! But I like her, I can't help it. This post is taken from my standup routine (work in progress). |
