cd mixers or final scratch?
I'm trying to decide between buying CD mixers or final scratch for playing soon-to-be pressed trax in my set. The cheapest I can find final scratch is 495 pounds, which is about the price of one decent cd mixer? If anyone can recommend which they think is the best performer, V.F.M. and also where is best to buy from, that will help me loads
cheers. |

you even have a third option to think about: Native Instruments' Traktor. i havn't got it myself but opinions i heard were all very positive.
the big bonus is that you can use wav's, mp3's and audio cds and abuse them nearly endlessly with the effects delivered. plus it's relatively cheap, you can get a basic version for 59 Eur (there even is a direct download for 35 Eur) or a studio version for 169 Eur which still beats Final Scratch. decide yourself Native Instruments Last edited by amble : 30th July 2002 at 11:45. |

but careful!
Traktor needs atleast 512mb ram + 600Mhz processor, everything under sounds like (hmmhm) don't forget that! but could you explain better what you actually wanna make (didn't realy get the message) maybe I could help?!!
don't take him to serious TRAKTOR is not that MEAN but very hungry if ya wanna get something out of it !!! careful the only destroyer native did so far can only be REAKTOR (there can only be one_what a nice machine that is) and kontakt is kickin' right now!!! traktor doesn't rock it's not that cooooool, one of the soft that eats up your machine before it plays 5 seconds of sound eaven with 320mb ram (I find that sucks!)
