Here's a bit of house I've been working on the past week or so

It feels more electro than house, but I liked it all the same. Good little acid line there.

It's sort of on the border for me, but then I used a lot of 707 drums, which is why I made the decision to call it house. But all genre titles are pretty arbitrary, anyway. In the end it doesn't really matter.

I dunno, the 707 bass drum is a pretty hard line if you ask me. it cant be electro with a 707 bass drum.

I reckon this is techno, but perhaps someone can confirm?

Paul Birken (TheToneWrecker) just reposted this gem to his Soundcloud page. It is quite a set!
http://soundcloud.com/thetonewrecker/birken-studio-mix-2002 Music bits: An hour's worth of cuts and reworks, effects and weird scratches by artists like Frankie Bones, Joey Beltram, Adam Beyer, Andrei Morant, Dj ESP, Tony Rohr, Dj Sneak, Dj HMC, Nigel Richards, Dj Rush, Christian Morganstern, Mika, Bob Brown, Terry Mullan, Angel Alanis, Dietrich Schoenenman, Dj Urban, and myself. Tech bits: Acid 3.0 (final mixdown was 855 tracks! - unlike Ableton which I use now, each snippet in Acid required it's own track...damn damn) Tuareg 1.5 Soundforge 5 bunch o' plugs wavesurgeon 2.56 How it happened bits: Lots of pieces dumped and loaded on the MPC2000xl like I'd do for a liveset.. cut up, filtered, run off through the patch bay into effects, crossfaded and recorded back in. |

Not soundcloud, but a podcast... Me and Peter Culshaw being a pair of posh old buffers and playing silly music. Amazing live performance by Mara Carlyle too http://www.theartsdesk.com/new-music...k-radio-show-2

Part of my mix for the Bigwar gig in Dublin a few weeks ago. The room I was playing in was King Cannibal, Eomac and myself. The mix is less techno and less mental wonky shit than normal but more bass so it's all good...

Inspired by Max Duley and Shackleton, this is for the end of the night, when you've had enough.

This is my entry for the Ableton Live/Soundcloud "Beat The Clock" 24 hour remix competition. It contains elements from Nosaj Thing. If you dig it, give it a vote. Thanks.
