Outboard summing mixer: any opinions?
So I've been doing everything 'inside the box' so far, but am wondering about building a simple analogue summing mixer with no eqs, gain controls etc. All the sounds would be made digitally still, coming through separate outputs for combination in the mixer, then get recorded straight back in stereo. Does anyone here do this, and do you rate this approach?
