3 minute silence?
when did the 1 minute silence become wrong?
i saw today all through the UK that the silences were all 3 not 1. the 1 minute silence is the one we have had since as far back as i can remember, its the one that is used on poppy day to remember the massive numbers of people who died in the world wars. so when and by who, in this caring modern world was it decided that 1 minutes silence isn`t enough to express our horror and compassion in the face of tragedy? do we care more now we will stand silently for 3 minutes? or are we just seen to care more? |
