knowledge of midi?

want to hook micro korg (new) to old korg electribe sampler!
anyone know if one can record with only those two machines or do i need a computer to dos so, manual says its poss but dont work! please

what are you trying to do?
are you actually wanting to record the micro korg on the sampler or do you want to sync them?

Rex, you should read the manual again, more carefully even though it seems like Double Dutch....

or get someone to show you how - its very easy to sample any audio signal into the Korg electribe...

BTW, sampling is not connected or controlled by any MIDI...

just plug the audio out of the microkorg in the audio in of the electribe and then record it, you don't need to use midi cables.
