so whats your record deal with integrale? do you pay them to start your label, then thay pay you for sales, or do you just give them a cd and then they pay you money? or do you just supply them with a stack or vinyl, and they pay you for it when it sells? i was gonna try getting a label with integrale myself (but i heard that theyre bad at paying up what they owe you...) whaddya reckon? whats the procedure?
thanks for any advice, nick |

What i do.
I just sort out pressing my own records then get them mailed to them for distribution, they pay me after they have sold the records. Bad at paying up, hmmm the deal with them is that they can pay up to 60 days after the sale, also you need to invoice them for sales of records. So what happends is they send you a statement that you invoice them for each month. do they pay late? well so far the answer is YES, from my limited dealings with them, if they keep this up then I will switch distributor. However I believe this is gonna be the case with most distributors, so i just try to cultivate a good relationship. I'm not arsey about it, you got to understand that they probably have trouble getting paid from their dealers too, because youre the label it all acumalates with you at the end of it. Its tough, you have to be on the phone all the time. Ive know for some people to wait up to 8 months to get paid for their vinyl (this is from another distributor, not Integrale). anyway if you have any more questions just ask |
