NYC recommendations

Off tomorrow, back Tuesday.

Going to Cielo on Monday night for Francois K and Love on Friday for dubwar with Martyn live.

Need info on decent trainer shops, clothes places and wicked places to eat/booze.

cheers

i don't really want to invoke a divorce on this trip, but seeing this it might just be worth the risk.

Oh Taisho! Most exciting Japanese restaurant I've been to in recent memory. Eat the Japanese pancake/omlette thing with bonito in it. It moves while you're eating it!

send a pm to Bencodec, d00d! tell him I said hi...

Go to the Lower East Side, I like Rivington St - the Rivington / Essex crossing. There's some nice bars with pretty good food there... especially the German place, which is the only place outside of Cologne that I know of that serves Reissdorf Kölsch. On fucking tap.

Restaurant wise; Morimoto's is my fave restaurant in the world.

Grab brunch at Norma's on the weekend, but make sure to book a table. Best breakfast ever.

There is a really great place in atlanta called the Brickstore that has Kolsch on tap. I've had it many times. Good stuff. Check out their beer selection: http://www.brickstorepub.com/home/

that is weird. you really cannot get Reissdorf outside of Cologne in Germany, and yet you can get it in any good German beer place in the states... not that I'm complaining! One more reason to return to teh ATL...

The Brickstore has some crazy connections and they get in all kinds of specialty beers. They always have Kolsch on tap. Some of the stuff they get in for a limited run are fucking crazy! They can get some rare beers from time to time.

the sound systems in Cielo & Love are amazing. Great mix of people in Cielo, but I found the Dubwar crowd to be a bit wankery. Music was good tho.
