James Yorkston is really good - on domino, I have one of his albums, he was with his Athletes on that one.

Ive just got the Mugison album but havent listened to it yet, but I hear good things.

Badly Drawn Boy is BRIILIANT live, whether or not he has done the soundtrack to a Nick Hornby / Hugh Grant film.

Hot Chip I've been told are a similar sort of vein to Meteorites on our label but nowhere near as good.

Heard of Yorkston and Mugison.
Surely you've heard of Badly Drawn Boy?
Yorkston is lo-fi acoustic folk - not my cuppa.
Mugison is crazed acoustoelectronic zaniness and has to be seen live to be appreciated

adem is also on domino - kind of lo-fi tuneful indie. the album (homesongs) is pretty good if you're into that kinda thing, but live they're even better. one guy plays one of those mini-harps (forgotten what they're called) with a chopstick... sounds novelty but is amazing.

Adem is very swoonsome, if you can take emotive songs he will really get to you.

Hot Chip are not really like Meteorites Emma, they're their own thing... live they are 5 blokes with analogue synths, "kraftwerk meets the blockheads" as a mate of mine memorably put it... however they're playing acoustically at homefires.

Mugison is MENTAL. Think an Icelandic Beck but harder and madder and with a better sense of humour.

Saw Mugison live in Brixton last night - it's the third time I've seen him in the past year and he gets better each time.
He played a duet with his girlfriend, who was absent, but a performance of her singing was projected onto his guitar - very sweet.
Apparently he's supporting Mike Patton's band Fantomas next month in London.
