Cataluma - Sidereal Shadows Album

I've released some of these tracks before, but they've finally been finished into an album. Contributions by myself, Tokyo Cat, Cat-A-Tonic and various other pussy lovers.

Available streaming or as freely downloadable lossless FLAC files, a new album from Cataluma featuring four tracks of improvisational Drone/Ambient/Freakout music from Japan and Italy. Should appeal to fans of Coil, Nurse With Wound, Lustmord, Tangerine Dream etc.

All comments very gratefully appreciated!

BRIXTON - LIVE - UK DEBUT (Holzplatten / Drop Bass Network)

MICHAEL FORSHAW - LIVE (Chan & Mikes / Coin Operated)

FEDKA THE IRRITANT - LIVE TROMBONE TECHNO (Horror Boogie)

Don't return with a real treat for Londons Techno** heads!...

** techno meaning hard funking grin inducing electronic dance music with more than one drum pattern and real hedonistic sonic head exploding moments peppered throughout... Just incase you got confused with the dreary plod that those in command are trying to hoodwink you into believing is techno.

OK. If you're unfamiliar with any of these bods,

BRIXTON is flying in from Dusseldorf to make his UK debut with a live show choc full of Acid mentalness! Known across Europe for his blistering sets and extensive discography ( http://www.discogs.com/artist/Brixton ), we are very excited to be bringing him for the first time to the UK to delight fans of the harder techno ! He will be performing a full live show with 2 x 303s, 1 x 101, 2 x Nord Mods + much more... This is a real special one .. Check him out on Youtube! Proper Old Skool Techno Soldier!

We're happy to have long time Don't ally, MICHAEL FORSHAW joining us too.. Infamous for Miami Bass style electro hit 'Cheerleaders', his wickedly debauched live sets and evil sense of humour, Michael is no stranger to London and many of you will already know his stuff, but if you don't, and you like hard electro, mental techno and questionable stand up comedy then now is your chance!

FEDKA THE IRRITANT is Tom Marriot, accomplished musician and bandleader of Ninja Tune Bad boys; PEST.. For the last few years he's been fine tuning his Techno side project and has wowed crowds across the country with his live set. Basically, imagine really creative techno with a proper funk groove plus LIVE TROMBONE playing through a variety of effects pedals and you're nearly half way there.. NOT TO BE MISSED ! SERIOUSLY.. NOT TO BE MISSED!

UBERDOG.. Present on the techno scene for many years promoting everything that's good in the game, there's not many people we could trust to warm the party up the right way so we're overjoyed he agreed to play the opening set to kick things off with the proper vibe. Check his soundcloud for a taste of his DJ talents!

Lastly , Don't head honcho JEROME HILL will be dropping a set with his usual variety .. Expect old skool forgotten techno monsters, brand new cuts from the label and more surprises!

ADAM X presents : TRAVERSABLE WORMHOLE – LIVE

Having taken the global techno scene by storm in 2009 with a series of five anonymously released, vinyl-only imprints under the mysterious guise “Traversable Wormhole”, Adam X rapidly gained support not only from the world’s most respected techno artists but also from the dubstep scene who appreciated the tracks with more of a broken beat structure. Having finally broken cover and taken the credit he deserved, Adam now has five further TW releases and six remix releases from luminaries including Surgeon, Marcel Dettman, Chris Liebing and Terence Fixmer.

Now in a Scottish exclusive, Adam X brings a LIVE set of Traversable Wormhole’s “unique signature of sci-fi laden techno music with gaps of time, space and bass in between sound & rhythm” to Edinburgh to compliment UNSEEN’s deep and moody backdrop created by resident Neil Templar.

Hello,

I've got an old ibook g4 - I only ever use this for doing some music stuff - it's not my main computer. But I have a problem with it.

After a while of being on it starts acting oddly, it seems to act as if the apple key (command key) is always pressed! This means if any application is open, or I click on anything with the mouse or press a key it does the functionality as if I have the apple key pressed!!!!

anyone else experienced this? or heard of this? It's a bit of a nightmare as it makes using it impossible sometimes.

The Motor Ship Stubnitz is a deep-sea fishing vessel that belonged to the German Democratic Republic before the collapse of Communism. It is 80 metres in length and weighs 2,541 tonnes.

A team of forward-thinking artists and engineers have converted it into a moving platform for the sonic and visual arts.

It’s about to become the most exciting venue we have ever used for Bloc.

*#105*
From Glasgow (http://darkfloor.co.uk/mantis-radio-104-chordata/) to California, this week we welcome Tundra Dubs (http://tundradub.bandcamp.com/) to the showcase session for Mantis Radio (http://darkfloor.co.uk/mantisarchives).

Relatively fresh on the scene, having been around since September 2010 Tundra Dubs have made quite an impact pushing their particular brand of dark electronics most closely classified as witchhouse or grave wave. Forming, as many labels use to, from an abundance of great, but unreleased music being made by friends surrounding label boss Ben Versluis.

Versluis heads up a label that whilst predominately based in the digital realm has branched out into vinyl and is currently to be seen pushing the latest work of San Diego duo AAIMON (http://flavors.me/aaimon), who many of you will remember delivered a stunning session (http://darkfloor.co.uk/mantis-radio-089-aaimon/) for us last year. Their FLATLINER (http://tundradub.bandcamp.com/album/flatliner) release sees the duo lay down some of their best work yet and is another milestone for the Californian label.

http://vimeo.com/39429961

Perhaps the labels most successful release to date , and Ben’s personal favourite, is the Os Ovni/Modern Witch (http://tundradub.bandcamp.com/album/love-desire) split 7″ which saw the light back in June is the best introduction to the label. Or better yet Ben’s selection of the label past, present and future forming the content of this week’s Mantis Radio broadcast.

In an ever homogenised corpus of wannabe Beatport chart chasers it’s always refreshing to find a label not afraid to create their own path with their own sound on their own terms. Tundra embody that spirit. You Indie (http://www.youindie.com/?p=21421) and Connexion Bizarre (http://www.connexionbizarre.net/interviews/tundra-dubs-an-interview-with-ben-tundra/) interviewed Ben in August and October respectively last year and both articles give a better insight into what Tundra is and where Ben is taking it.

#105
From Glasgow to California, this week we welcome Tundra Dubs to the showcase session for Mantis Radio.

Versluis heads up a label that whilst predominately based in the digital realm has branched out into vinyl and is currently to be seen pushing the latest work of San Diego duo AAIMON, who many of you will remember delivered a stunning session for us last year. Their FLATLINER release sees the duo lay down some of their best work yet and is another milestone for the Californian label.

http://vimeo.com/39429961

Perhaps the labels most successful release to date , and Ben’s personal favourite, is the Os Ovni/Modern Witch split 7″ which saw the light back in June is the best introduction to the label.

You Indie and Connexion Bizarre interviewed Ben in August and October respectively last year and both articles give a better insight into what Tundra is and where Ben is taking it.
