Probably works on a similar principal as final scratch with a box converting the data sound on the record into video.

I was in contact with some sales guy there a while ago. you can just play back any old vinyl and it will create some picture (much like editing a raw soundfile in photoshop I guess), you can send them mp3s and they'll cut a video for you to see what it looks like =)
