Hi people

last night wandet to have a look at
the site of Ibrahim Alfa and logically entered
"semiautomatic.com" and found following:

We're just another bunch of smartasses making snide observations and being mean spirited to assholes out here on the internet, and all that silly horseshit loses a lot of its fun and relevance when insane zealots turn passenger planes into missiles and start spreading weaponized anthrax through the mail. It's not only difficult to think this shit that we do is at all appropriate, it's difficult to find humor in the things we usually revel in. Hell, it's just difficult to laugh, a lot of the time.

But we're gonna keep generating new content (probably at the same glacial pace as before). Though it's difficult and it feels a little hollow, it's what we did before we were attacked, before we were at war, and it's our own geek-cynic way of fighting for what we believe in, in whatever tiny and insignificant measure. If nothing else, with every keystroke we're exercising the rights we usually take for granted, and celebrating the country that secures and guarantees those rights and so much more.

You won't be seeing snide jokes about the war here, because if there's anything we're sure of, it's that this thing is going to be long, hard, painful, and absolutely necessary. A lot of our fellow internet smartasses are poking fun at the patriotism, the new found pride in and respect for their country that a lot of folks, us included, have rediscovered.

Well, they can poke fun at this, too: Americans are, at core, a noble and courageous people, and the way we come together in times of national crisis is the envy of every other nation on earth. We're proud to be American, and we love this country, if for no other reason than it affords us the freedom to sit in the back of the class and throw spit balls, pass notes, and make fart noises. That this country grants us so much that we have that kind of luxury is something worth fighting for, and anyone who doesn't realize that is a fool.

One last thought: regarding the idea that an oppressive and destructive culture of ignorance wants to reach out and restrict or destroy our way of life. We, the folks who just want to be fat and happy and eat hot dogs on the Fourth of July, who just want life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, are right. The terrorists and all of their supporters and sympathizers are wrong. Right will prevail. For all its excesses, there's nothing like the American way of life, especially compared to what they've got going over there. We may be a nation of overweight consumers stocking up on Cheez Whiz and Ding Dongs at the local Wal-Mart in the middle of the night, but if some asshole were to drop a bomb on that Wal-Mart, you can be damned sure the overweight consumers who survived would come together and do whatever they could to help each other out. That's what makes us strong, Cheez Whiz and all.

Smartassed, snide content to follow in a bit.
