Are any of you Logic PC users planning on switching to Mac? I sure won't before they offer substantial discounts on Mac hardware, which I hear is in the works.

Would be interested in hearing about what you think.

Also, is there any Mac-only software except Metasynth (very cool!) and Max that it would be worth switching for? Reaktor runs better on PC I'm told ... --- (I'm doing a Reaktor review right now for memi.com, if any of you Reaktor masters could answer some questions about modifying existing ensembles, I would certainly appreciate your help!)
This is certainly a very complex program (I think) and very deep.

Anyway, have a nice day!

FREE LOGIC NOW!!

i don´t think i´m gonna switch to mac. the discounts should be very very good to make a platform change interesting. but i would keep my pc too.
i only need 700-800€ to upgrade my amd900 to a nice good and fast amd 2000 and what do i get from apple for that price? (a peace of plastic with an applelogo and some cozy legends i guess)

a friend of mine just got logic 4.7 for his pc a little while before the mac buyout. emagic told him that if he paid for a logic upgrade to 5.0 he would be given both the pc version and the mac version at no extra cost.

i paid less than 1100€ for my G4...thats not so bad. i wouldn't pay for a new one though. the early AGP (sawtooth) G4s like mine are even cheaper now, i've seen them go for 450 quid...700€...on ebay.

let the companies buy them new, then we can buy them off the receivers

you can't even get a mac with asmuch powers as pc's already got for that price!!! but it's your choice I think LOGIC IS GOOD yeah but not that GOOD right!?:!

i dunno, my 450 G4 compares very well with the 933 NT P3 i use at work, and thats not taking into account the stability issues.

i use both every day - in my experience the people who are quickest to knock macs are the ones who have never used one.

anyway, who cares...mac v pc debates are really tedious. i'll buy another pc when i can get a decent sequencer/os combination that will run on it.
