brighton this weekend?

so i am gonna visit some mates in brighton for the weekend...anyone know anything good going on to check out?

If the weather is nice, you'll be able to catch Chris Eubank driving his truck up and down the seafront, and then getting it stuck down some suburban cul-de-sac :-)

well its pride this weekend! if you're coming down on friday and you like hip-hop + rnb etc then my mate does a fab gay hip hop night at club on the seafront next to a pub called dr brightons, its called pac man. i might be going.
the clubs wll be pretty rammed but there are no good clubs on a saturday in brighton apart from the jazz rooms which plays wicked out there house, deep and crazy, latin stuff...its russ dewbury's club who does the famous jazz bops in brighton. jazz rooms is in ship street

there's also a garage rock/ 60s/ punk night at the pavilion tavern which is really good fun in a student kinda way. you'd be hard pressed to find any techno and if you did it would probably be shit. anyone with any experience of a good techno night in brighton please correct me. im pretty out of touch with the "scene" here these days (not that it really exists)

sunday night there's a club called sabbath at the ocean rooms which does what i believe is termed IDM - warp / rephlex artists basically. i went recently and it was really good but i dont know if its on every week

thanks emma. i'm not really in the mood for techno this weekend anyhow. i am sure i will check out the pride celebrations at some point over the weekend and maybe that night on friday. i am just looking forward to being out of london and by the sea!! god, i love that town...
