interisting topic, even though i haven“t read marinetti or joyce - not even stoker. it struck me that todays electronic music journalism tends to use similar methods as used by russolo in chapter 4 (quote 8), and i mean mags with a more (can i say that?) intellectual approach. record shop conversation do it that way for sure... a bit dated, i thought, were the choice of movies quoted. way before independence day or contact, machines and their sounds have been used as carrier of philosophical concepts or indication of symbiotic relationship of rooms and the devices they enclose. blade runner, alien or invasion of the body snatchers come to my mind, maybe even forbidden planet and as a more recent work maybe "pi".
