having a lot of talent is a good start

its pretty hard getting shows in the UK i can tell you, so i cant really help you there.maybe some of the other promoters / producers from the Uk can help?

Be willing to play pretty much for free to start with. send tapes of your live performance / djing to promoters of the clubs you like. be persistent but not annoying.

of course putting on your own night is the only guaranteed way of getting a gig, but apart from that...there's no surefire way

Yehh... bad that night in may didn´t work out with you playing along with subhead. (money, money, money..) But maybe one day... Could be nice to travel around and play some tracks for the kids!????? :o)
