TLS - from the chapel gone double. An odd one...I kinda like it but I'm not sure why, as I was never into slightly moody 80s synth pop/rock and that's what it reminds me of.
also, some Jimi Tenor thing....it's OK, another pleasant listen but kind of shoulder shrug inducing.

did anyone hear the hakan lidbo mix on radio one last night, on peel? it was well good, but the cd got stuck half way through in true john peel style. There were some truly sick edits going on in the first 20 minutes. wish i was at home to record it.
Jumpin jack frost mix from 92' with the smell of bbq coming through the window and the sun shining, all i need now is some decent mdma and I'll be in fucking heaven!

i just listened to it earlier. fine stuff indeed. its on the radio1 website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/alt/johnpeel/thisweek/20040607_peel.shtml#sess1) now.
anyone hear hakan lidbo's eurovision entry? well cheesey (obviously) but good fun all the same. easily would've won, had sweeden chosen it as their entry.

Choosing a starting point is a little hard as he has literally hundreds of records out. His output can vary from full on imrov free jazz shit to more rock & roll or mad electronic heavy metal or whatever. But of the ones I've heard, I really like this one I mentioned before - 'Vermin of the Blues' and also 'Terror has some strange kinfolk', which was released through Alternative Tenctacles and shouldn't be too hard to get. This merges everything from country to rockabilly to folk to screaming punk.
Another good one is 'The President He Is Insane' but it was only released on vinyl and is a bit hard to find.
