I just saw yesterday on ZDF (German TV) a damn great reportage about videoart. They showed Videos from Culdcut, Orbital, and Roni Size.

My favorite was Add n to (x). Pixelized and oldschool animations and colorscrolls reminding me on good Amiga500-Times. Watching the Video, the animations went closer and closer. After some time seeing and understanding the color-variations as music. Finding yourself in a world af abstraction and intense seeing. exactly my cup of tea!

what happened to the techno-video art?

i remember shows like "House Frau" (later "house tv"), or the other show, later on with mate galic - i just can't remember the name.

There they went with videos absolutely simple made: i.e. they put a video-camera in a supermaket-trolley and play that recordings through soem color-filters. or videos where they just had color-cycling!! I very liket that kinda stuff. in fact, these shows gave the techno-electronic thing to me, so i want to thank here mate galic and sabine christ for doing a goood job :)

Check the DVD from Semiconductor (who did the Trurl and Klaupacius artwork)... can't remember their website address... maybe semiconductorfilms.com or something along those lines.
