oh man, those bands are so great !
it was so refreshing to have some hip hop groups as them ! i was feeling a bit less guilty to listen to black american music, as opposed to public enemy who was a bit against white power, even if i really do love'em !
about a tribe called quest, "the low end theory" and "midnight marauders" albums are defenitly my prefered ones...
and for de la soul, i'm totaly fond of their 2nd album "3 feet high and rising" : tracks like "say no go" and "me myself and I" are so good !
they were looking for a lighter sense in hip hop and they gave it so well !
even if i don't listen anymore to this kind of sound, i must admit they open a great way to groups like arrested development as said KaOz : an alternative to protesting hip hop helping it to penetrate white consummers. but it doesn't mean they were selling their souls...

I reckon they might be good live cause they're pretty energetic and lets face it, you can never get enough of the hop, you gats to do the hop, non stop motion, non stop. What night is it on. I want's to see some bad ass hip hop, live. The most exciting thing we gets is when the cd player in the local jumps whilst playing, and that's no lie.
