road trip music

I went on a road trip this past weekend to visit my parents. so of course I took a bunch of music and comedy cds for the trip. for me it was stuff like autechre, coil, gary numan, drexciya, and bill hicks for the journey. how about the rest of you? what cds do you think are the best for long road trips??

For driving its gotta be Jungle, Ragga or punk. My car stereo is buggered at the mo unfortunatly, its a bummer for long drives.

I'm a big fan of Bill Hicks on long journeys, but it has caused me to nearly crash and burn when I'm laughing so hard my eyes are streaming :)

Spoken word stuff is good, talking books, or stuff like Noam Chomsky or Robert Anton Wilson have worked for me.

I really like spoken word stuff on long journeys, interspersed with a bit of blues, bit of rock, and perhaps even some folk.

I try not to listen to 'dance' music in the car, because my foot tends to sink deeper when the bpm rises.
