Moving to Barcelona

I will be moving from Mexico City soon to Barcelona , from lurking around the forum i see there is alot of different tastes in music , i know the moderator here Christian lives there, i dont know how many other Spaniards post here but is there any advice as where one can go to hear good electronica , electro, im really into Foehn Records from Barcelona. Any pointers of which bars i should hit first ??

Well,

what can I say...
Barcelona has got his big electronic music scene within only a few clubs, talking about those inside the city I could mention "Loft", "Apolo", "Moog", "Zentraus", "City Hall", Casa Paco 2 ;-)

I recommend U to go to recordshops to get flyers, like in "Tasmaniac" close to La Rambla, there you'll have all posible parties (at least many of them!) where you can choose the best for your taste!

i have also been recomended some good record stores in Madrid Revolver and CDdrome.(any others in Barcelona ??) Ill be in Barza hopefully by end of June :)

I dont know what to say about those shops, but I never buy there. For me the ones are "Tasmaniac", "Wah Wah" and "Verdes Recs."

Revolver is fairly mediocre, I thought. And in general I thought that the quality of the record shops, even those mentioned above, was poor compared to Manchester, San Francisco or London. But then, it has so much going for it otherwise that you cannot hold it against it :) But then these are all Manchester's strong points and the scallies, yobs, pollution and rain more than dampen the fun!

Me. Don't ask me about venues in Barcelona. This is as close as I get to the music scene in Barcelona, sitting right here - five minutes from Placa Catalunya, on my PC at 2.18am in the morning.

That wee lass (the cute one) from Ladytron is playin' a few in Razz tomorrow nite. Mia or Mina is her name. That's another tip for you there, silentnight, I guess - Razzmatazz - you might stumble across something there.

Finally got around to posting , been here for almost month now , oddly enough the first nights i was here i went to Casa Paco and Virus and Christian palyed that night. Its been pretty chill haven really gone out much just chiiling found a great flat.

yez. "Festes de Gracia 2004". This is a whole neighbourhood in party, from last weekend till next!
Tonight you can watch the concert from "OJOS DE BRUJO" for free, in Plaça Joanic (Metro L4 - Joanic). I will go for sure. And it is supposed that I will play in a small place in Gracia, but tomorrow, one of the few places to listen to electronic music around this week party. Hmm, do not remember the name of the street now
