hope i'm not breaching board etiquette for posting this, but hope it might be of interest to some... details of our fledgling little electronica night in south london, now approaching its fifth episode:

"WERK"

This Saturday, July 13th...

Free yourself from the tyranny of the 4/4 kickdrum, and come sup from the milky teat of electronica's third nipple.

WERK returns.

This month we get more obscure on yo' ass, with a live assault from CURSOR MINER. Star man of Lo Recordings, this boy just launched his debut LP - "Explosive Piece of Mind", described as "Electro Syd Barrett meets Aphex Twin meets Gary Numan with a touch of early Eno and a nod to Beck" by Uncut, "Have laptop, will make astonishing noises… nothing short of mind-blowing... guaranteed to enrich your existence" by the NME, and "A definite taste of Gescom tag-team wrestling!" by Lord Weatherall.

Definitely a feather tickling the crack of those rooting in the stagnating filth of dance music. Support comes from a DJ set from DJ Kone-r, boss of Uncharted Audio records.

Your hosts, po-SKI, look forward to welcoming you with open bowels, and introducing you to the dark half of their record collections.
