He seemed as perplexed as most non-politicians do on that programme.. its such a head fuck.

But he had the quote of the night I think. They were talking about David Beckham, which naturally was dull but he managed to turn it round.. something like:

"When I'm working with kids who are growing up with violence all around them, and who could easily solve their problems by just stabbing each other... who do I use as inspiration for non-violence? I certainly can't tell them to look up to politicians, they go to war at the drop of a hat."

At which point everyone, even the politicians all went dead quiet.

That bit was good, the rest.. as ever.. was party political bickering.

yes watched it - it was midly entertaining - the other guests didnt really seem to know how to reply to anything Benjamin Zephaniah said - i thought the best part was when he mentioned about the suicide bombers in palestine, and how he could understand how people get driven to such things due to there being no resort - and all he was trying to say was that the sucide bombing would probably stop if israel stopped their illegal occupation of palestine.
but the MP's couldn't dare agree...
but as we know the majority of politicians are noddies of the first order.
