Hey,
Just wondering........been seeing info about Jamie heading over to Japan in the next few months or so, and was wondering whether this was part of a S_C thing, or a solo effort.
But, what I was also interested in was whether there are any plans for Cristian to get some gig's lined up in other places in Asia, ie Honky, KL, Singapore etc etc. I know that it heavily relies on getting a promoter lined up, but is there any chance or moves being taken? Of course, this could feasibly have already happened and I missed the boat....which wouldn't be for the first time. But, I'd be interested to see what the No-future crew have to say on this matter.........
I can help if needs be of course.

well , i would love to ...
but it seems that there is little / no demand for me as a DJ in the places you have mentioned , and even in Japan , I haven't had any interest since S_C went over in 2000!

I find that a little surprising really, not that there is little interest in Hong Kong, as if you ain't playing bangin' trance, prog or gay house you ain't going to get a look in (philistines!!), but I would have thought you'd be welcomed with hugely open arms in the likes of Japan etc. It's a crying shame mate and one that I hope resolves itself in the not to distant future.
What about a Tresor Tour, would you be affiliated to something like that, or would you want this to be off your back? What about with Novamute, do they assist promotional jaunts? I ain't no promoter, but know enough of what's going on here to help you out if needs be. Mind you, I bet you get this from everyone..............but seriously, I'm sure you'd have a blast out here mate.

cris has played quite a few times in japan over the years
there was recently some talk of him going to japan for three months for some kind of artistic residency but nothing seemed to come of it
super_collider will probably go back soon
tresor and novamute arent arranging tours over there...if someone wants to bring cristian over to play and it fits in time wise with us, he will do it!

aha! there was to be a n`mute tour earlier this year however it`s possible that a certain agent who shall remain totally nameless (!) wasn`t keen on speedy j coming our way. instead the big dutchman never made it (didn`t work out with agent`s prefered show unsurprisingly) and the tour was pulled.
the tour will however take place probably early /spring 2003, and a little dicky bird tells me there may be some CV related activities that could coinicide in the year 2003? might all fall into place nicely.

A Novamute tour would be good - in fact any tour would be good. I would love to see Cristian educate some of the masses out here, and maybe one day.....one day.......
But I particularly like the "artistic residency" thing - that's classic!! I gotta get myself one of those........superb!!!

artistic residencies are always grand providing the people you`re residing for are not utter buffoons from the planet lobster who think scanner`s got something valuable to offer civilisation as oposed to being a total menk whose only contribution so far has been to find a meaning for the words gubbins and honk and should thus be wheeled out into the street and run over with shopping trollies until certified very dead.
woe to the downpressers for they shall eat the bread of sorrow. etc
Agree with Chejai, I would have thought you'd be welcomed with open arms in Japan, however, you would probably have to spend a little time there. It's a great place to live though so if you do get a chance of artistic residency i'd throughly reccomend it. Lot's of fun and interesting people, have you ever seen a clean punk? Understand you cannot be everywhere at once, but Japan would definatly be worth investigating.
