What's a proper introduction/announcement of return to the forum?
"Hey, I'm __(name)__, I've met __(other forum members' names)__@___(gig)___. I've got # releases out on __(label names)___, and have played records/live at __(some famous venue)__. Now I'm cool enough to not be just another troll, right?. Also I want to offer up asskissings to __ (whoever)__."
or will a simple "Hey, what's up? Long time. Thanks for inviting me back. The live stream is cool." suffice?
I came through here about...a year ago, and felt like there were a lot of upturned noses. Cool music, great ideas from obviously highly intelligent people, but the level of exclusivity/snobbery was a bit much, so I decided to invest my energies and attentions elsewhere. Every once in a while I'd get some email, and peep back in, only to see much the same as before.
If folks want, I can certainly do the same again. There's lots of us out there making music and artwork Some of us have been doing it a long time, and some of it might even be considered cool. That depends on taste, I guess.
The opportunity for further expansion, communication, and exchange is there. Do you embrace it, or piss it away?

Twenty something views and not so much as a "how do you do?". I can see how cool you folks are. I'll remember that the next time me or any of my friends are at the record store. It's all love here. For yourselves. While you're at it, why not just delete the thread, and give me the proper troll treatment? Or should you keep it around as a reminder/monument to your superiority, and the illumination that the rest of the world outside of this forum so obviously lack?

the reason i (and im suspecting many others) didnt reply is because youve basically called us all arrogant bigheaded elitists.
i also didnt know the true intent behind your thread, was kind of hard to tell whether it was fully serious or not at first.
anyway, welcome back oh' uncool one with morals. :)
maybe some day you will be cool enough to post here on a daily basis. lol

a year ago, that was without a doubt the phil-era. that could explain a lot. a lot of people here freaked out back then.
so, welcome back. and don't take this board (and yourself!) to sirius*.

welcome (back?) to the board
its a pity you chose to introduce yourself by alienating everyone who regularly posts here.
i have absolutely no idea why you think this is a stuck up and unfriendly place, because that is certainly NOT what it is like.
you seem to have an almighty chip on your shoulder about not being cool enough to post here which says a lot about you and nothing about us, im afraid
so if you make interesting art or music why dont you link to some of it so we can judge for ourselves?
tim exile who posts here was a newbie about 2 months ago. he posted some tracks and we and lots of others on the board loved them and they are going to released on mosquito...but then he didnt start off telling us how stuck up, exclusive and snobbish we are by way of introduction.
for future reference, the best way to get people positively interested in you is just to be nice, friendly and have something to say.
im not interested in you, just shocked by your attitude. its passed now.
Pongoid - welcome back
out of interest...
where did you find yourself more at home? which forum have you been visiting since you decided against ours?
what music do you buy when you are 'in the record stores' ?

why do you care? this bloke is obviously our inferior. you and me are way too cool, cristian, to have anything to do with him. i thought we had made that quite clear to outsiders, with the exclusivity and snobbishness we have made an integral part of this board.
gonna have to step it up a gear i reckon.

marcel, are you talking about the quite legendary sirius sound system? also, on which topics page(s) can i find the "phil-era"? see, i still do more reading than posting. i think i owe that to this message board insofar that it is a great site with many witty, cool, funny (you name it) ppl. and i really don't think that there's any considerable amount of snobbery or exclusiveness to be found in any of the threads. pongoid, there's always people who try to get in other ppl's heads at certain messageboards but again, i don't think
it's really the case here. i think that the problem often consists of reading too much into other ppl's posts - it happens to newbies as well as seasoned posters who spend a lot of time at various boards.
please consider this. hey my name is a.m. fejes i had future honorable electronic musicians hanging around my decks eons ago they didn't care who i was cos i had just a pseudonym and everything was/is still cool plus i don't record my work, i'm a true outsider (hi gunjack...), a nobody, therefore have to offer next to nothing but through my interest in language, memmmory (ha!) and music still dare to hang out here. zippery+/-

I stand well corrected, and apologize for my unbecoming and unseemly behavior, in a place where people behave in a civilized manner. Things apparently have changed here and for the better. Yes Gun, it's still me. I remember downloading some of your stuff, and it was quite alright as well. The fact of the matter, I'm afraid, is that I AM an asshole, but give me time, and maybe it'll grow on ya. Kind of like that ragwool sweater: not very pretty, and irritates at first, gets a bit pissy smelling when wet, but keeps you warm in all climes, no matter how dirty, full of holes,or stretched out/shrunk that it gets.
Crsitian, usually when shopping for records, I look for your stuff, Fred Gianelli's, stuff on World Electric, and other electronic artists, as well as older Jazz, and funk. I find myslef at home on dancetech.com, livepa.org, and a couple of bassists' forums. I enjoyed your stream a few days ago. Pity you couldn't get logic working. Software's a bitch, innit?
Stu, that was rather funny.
Emma, thanks for your hospitality.
And as for the rest of you lot, cheers. I feel better about this place already. I hope my abrasiveness will be taken with a grain of salt. Now, back to your regularly scheduled ruminations, ribaldlry, and rambunctiousness.
