well , I don't know how you lot have all managed to get your hands on a copy , as it is only at the white label stage , due to Germany wide manufacturing problems....

here is the official Tresor Recs web page info

Whats happening with tresor? is it down to this Germany wide problem?....have'nt seen Subhead's "Baby takes three" even in promo, or Dave Tarrida's mix CD

have'nt seen Subhead's "Baby takes three" even in promo, or Dave Tarrida's mix CD

they are both available since a while. also dave's single 12" which comes alongside the mix cd. just check the shop at www.tresorberlin.de and the news section for upcoming releases...

I've just bought Dave Tarrida's Globusmix mail order from www.action-records.co.uk (based in Preston) for a bargain price of £7.99 !! Dunno if its still that price now but worth a try...

I seem to remember going through this before - but, Cristian, was it you're idea only to release this on vinyl? Do you know if us plebs can ever expect a CD version in the future?

I agree. I don't buy vinyl and get thoroughly pissed off cos I can't get half the stuff I want on cd.

Subhead take note.

its not an album, its a double EP

normally 12s arent released on CD so this is just normal...

it might come out on CD in the future...

why dont any of you buy vinyl?

Never really bothered, I've bought a few records/albums but vinyl just gets on my tits really. Takes too much space to store, scratches and warps dead easily, plus the whole idea of having to get of my arse and turn over an album to the other side to hear the rest of the tracks .... nah.

And I've already had this argument with many a DJ, record shop worker, friends etc and I'm fully aware this scene would not exist without vinyl, plus you don't get all the fancy artwork on the cover of a cd as you can get with a 'record', and a good record player can make vinyl sound as good as a cd with a warmer sound, blah blah ..

Just get the cd out of its nice plastic box, wack it into the cd player and hit a button .... easy.

i can attest to oldskools predicament.
been round his house many times and he has his audio equipment on quite a high shelf so when we`re mashed spawled about on the floor, getting up every six minutes isn`t gonna happen.
lol

i got my dungeon master off marc at tresor

to buy 12'' is simply too expansive just to listen to (if i would have 2 turntables and a mixer it would be something else.....but i think i would be the crapiest (home) dj on da whole world as i am really untalented in mixing records...aahhhahaha).
i have some vinyls at home (but only stuff i don't get on cd) but i have the same problem as old skool........too lazy to stand up and turn the record......
maybe i have to start buying vinyl to get my hands on all the great stuff which isn't available on cd.

Some of the vinyl costs a bleedin' fortune too !!

I too have tried my hand on mixing. Twice. Both times I've been absolutely awful. The beats sounded like I'd dropped a drum kit down some stairs. The only time I've ever done a decent fluid mix was when I leant over to pick up a record and accidentally moved the mixer with me elbow ... everyone cheered.

@jukka
Cool avatar!!

I heard a rumour that the aleks-jukka dj-team will only play in clubs where jägermeister is the sponsor.

Right or wrong?
lol lol

...nobody mix records perfectly at the first time. It will take a bit time to learn it...thats normal

I ask myself the same question there Emma - every time I see a vinyl only release. Never seem to find a good answer, but still never seem to buy it.

What about a limited edition CD release, advance order only (cash up front, brown paper bag, left in a bin outside the No-Future HQ?)

@tomoki:
yes, it would be an advantage to get one of our rare gigs if jägermeister is the sponsor.
