K-Rock on Rephlex

just got this new EP. It's a mashup of old styles - electro, acid, booty bass and oldskool ardkore... but somehow it's one of the most original things I've heard for ages. The artwork and list of shout outs suggest it's from some rock'ard hackney raver, but Rephlex being Rephlex I suspect it's a big prank by Ed DMX or RDJ himself... any clues?

Well, I think everything's just about sorted, so I'm engaging in diversion tactics to stop myself working up into too much of a tizz.

I just asked a Rephlex man about K-Rock and he says he's a real person, who's been DJing and breaking at Rephlex parties for years. Hoorah.

He's a bit of a "Cool Dude" from what I hear, a mate of mine ran into him at a skateboarding event on Clapham common....

i've seen this k-rock character a good few times, the last two being at the last Rephlex event i went to in London and most recently at Dedbeat.

he's really quite loud (i'm talking about the sounds generated by his vocal chords here) and annoying (in a rather amusing way - he's only a small guy)...at the last Rephlex thing i went to he was the MC (introducing people, not doing some Skibadee business) and asked for a minute's silence for aaliyah from a crowd of raving monsters and was met with mumbling and shouts of "fuck off" when he started berating the audience.

he is indeed very, very real. i`ve met him a few times a while back when being a junior onion.

amusing little fella, very sweet and permanently plugged into old breakdance-mentalities. presumably hence the rephlex hook up.

bit scary on the onions of steeel, though not a knobcheese like most of the north-circular lap-dance massive.
