did you know that that game where someone is in the pub and they are making everyone do the Porn Star name or Stage Name , with the Mother's maiden name and your first pets name , is a scam by scallies in the north of england who want to steal your credit card and do stuff with it - cos mother's maiden name is what most companys use for security ... or am i just paranoid...?

wow. good to know that. i've only played it with my friends, so i don't think i have had anything to worry about. pretty clever trick though.

god, i am being slow (still recovering from a wicked weekend is gonna be my excuse)...christian, if you are right, i just gave the whole board (hell, the whole internet!) the key to scam my credit card by giving away my mothers maiden name...maybe i'm being paranoid (again, using the excuse of recovering from a wicked weekend) but i'm gonna edit that post :-p

"Paranoia is a finer state of reality....." so no, you're not. However, i think it's played everywhere, and not just in the north! *g*
