I´ve got an old (however, I think very good) mixer - > intimidation blue < - and the rotaries scratch... Have already opened the mixer and cleaned the board and fader/rotaries with specialcleaner/contaktspray.they can also be served again perfectly soft as butter, but the rotaries scratch as before!! I suppose that they are extreemely dusty, so that also any contact spray helps any more... I ask myself whether one rotary also completely can be take apart and thoroughly cleaned+new oiled.has someone already made this? I suppose if I must exchange them,i`ll receive no more rotaries from this model (intimidation blue it is not produced any more...) it would be brilliantly if someone from Munich could help me,so I could bring him/her the mixer... However,I am grateful about every help in this thing!!!

never use contact spray for that! it just helps you to destroy your mixer even more. you should take the mixer to a professional cleaning service. as far as I know, they put the pots into a special acid bath. it might cost some money, but it's definitely worth it. I've just cleaned my 909 and all pots are like new...

Follow mr_chombee's advice - he definitely knows what he's talking about. I live in munich too - so feel free to contact me and drop by anytime - though a cup of coffee is probably the only "technical support" I can provide :)

"ultraschall-bad" is the thing your lookin for. grab your desk, roll on over to your nearest music-shop (or call in advance). they usually
provide the technical cleaning. I've even heard of, eh, optiker,
who do this. it'll cost y'around 150 €, but it's always worth it.
I've got stripped 'o my money after letting all 40 channels of my studer-desk get ultraschall-cleaned. puhh.

There you go, that's the way to do it
Ischo - we got in touch via the Ableton board on the topic of notebooks right? I still don't have one, but I am probably gonna get the Sony with 16 inch screen, you mentioned a friend who has it and that Live ran on it without a hiccup right?

yesterday I took one poti withe me into some electronic shops here...the only thing compatible I found were some 1,30 EUR potentimeter...(@conrad )but I dont think that this would be a good exchange for my mixer...i ask myself if ALPS produces these potis...need A10K rotary potis,6mm ! can someone tell me if I can use some reloop killer mixer potis too???(or maybe from a new other mixer)??
btw when I opened this one poti it was full of oil (i never used oil but i didnt bought it new...) maybe it was a mix of kontaktspray oil and special cleaner 601...maybe it helps to use "druckluft"...in the electronic shops noone could tell me something about this acid bath...where can I do this in munich???
thanx @you all ;)
