hi there.
was just walking home mildly drunk, and i thought ; WOW: i could send anyone i know, all around the world, an email. (if i wanted to).

i remembered that, when i was small, you could never communicate with anyone in far remote parts of the earth, without them being a penfriend.
hmmmm
its nice to be in touch

I'll give you an example of another lovely positive thought -

My best girlfriend, doesn't live in London anymore - she's up @ Sheffield University, and looks set to live in the area after she graduates.

We still talk, see eachother (etc), but it's still tough that she's not as local as she used to be.

I came home yesterday, and found that she'd posted me a card for a "very special person", with a really lovely message inside of it - It made me smile, and made me realise that simple communication can really warm your heart.

yeah i think its awesome how i can talk to you all in differnt parts of the world, and just ten yrs ago, it was impossible in this type of situation.

also what is really cool is " ichat " it rocks, i get on ichat with tomas and stefan and talk up a storm and walk around my house and leave the mic on and the moniters pumping out their voices. and its great. its better than the telephone.

sometimes i get emails from people that i met when i went out to Europe and it really surprises me. months will pass and i won't hear from friends that live here but someone that i spent only a few days with while travelling will take the time to just say "hello."
every interaction is an opportunity for change in your life. i think its that opportunity of what may unfold that really makes things interesting. in a way, we've become a sort of family here. and think...what/who was the catalyst for this?;)

you know i really like that about this forum, and i love the idea of net family, and a place to go to and be yourself and post your thoughts. i know the admins like structure, but i also like the non-structure because i gives us all a chance to explore the habits of each other in posting and what each other like.

damn sorry for that i was reading that forum change thread front to back and am still thinking about it.

I have friends all over the world thanks to the internet and my own geekiness. It makes for great cheap holidays. Going to stay with my friend Scott in Australia this summer.

Couldn't have these friends, who's opinions really matter to me, without the aid of the global world wide internet.

its indeed a great thing, the www.
you can send an e-mail and it arrives a couple of minutes later, doesn't matter to which part of the world you send it.
i think i couldn't bother to write that amount of letters and i even don't have to pay for stamps this way.
