Anyone know if the Lovesan virus is dangerous? What I've read about it suggests that it was just manufactured by geeks as a warning/protest thing...
Thing is, AVG Anti-Virus - which seems to do very well keeping me clear of other things - seems to detect it but won't remove it.

it mostly spreads and launches attacks on windowsupdate.com during certain parts of the year - it won't fuxor your box, but it will be a nuisance.
Write down the infected files, boot to safe mode and track 'em down with search to delete them

some virii require more help than a simple virus checker.
Download the McAfee Stinger ( http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ ) which should happily clear your virus.
