Im going to be doing a weekly pretty soon and im thinking
that i should go for a smaller venue....
i think smaller is always better dont you?
its more manageable
even if you dont have a great turnout...still looks busy
better vibes at a small place?
i think so

small venues are best, unless you're planning on inviting elephants. small venues and elephants don't go too well, and you'll probably get a lot of complaints from your non-elephant patrons.

Small indeed. I think my favourite venue in London is Plastic People and that's tiny. It helps that it has the wickedest soundsystem, and plays host to a lot of very cool nights.

small definatly, you can put on more of what you want rather than only corwd pleasers (both in terms of booking dj's or your own records)
also much better atmosphere

I also prefer small clubs. I guess most of the people who are into techno prefer this kind.
trance-music is better in bigger clubs I guess.

small too for me please. its usually the better athmosphere.

one thing i rate pretty high is the quality of the PA. really important both for soundquality and ear health. i just hate to come somewhere and have to hear a sound that is permanently clipped and distorted.
