Spare a though for the family of Tom Hurndall who died last night. He was apparently shot by an Israeli soldier whilst trying to protect children from gunfire in Gaza last April. The injury left him in a coma until yesterday when he finally succumbed to pneumonia. Anyone who saw the documentary about him last year will find this very sad indeed. He was only 22.

Ayed Morar and his brother Na'eem Morar from the village of Budrus are
imprisoned by the Israeli army for their role as organizers of
nonviolent resistance to the Apartheid Wall construction!!


Last night around 2 am Ayed Morar (Abu Ahmad) of Budrus village was
arrested and taken from his home by soldiers. One group of soldiers
came for him and another group went to re-arrest his brother Na'eem,
who was only just released from Ofer prison for political prisoners at
midnight on 11th January (without being charged after 10 days of being
in jail).


This happened ahead of today's planned peaceful demonstration against
the Apartheid Wall at 12 noon in Budrus.

There is little other information available at this point. Since
last night Ofer prison has alternatively been not answering the phone
and answering it and hanging up.
Please call them as soon as you can and demand Na'eem and Ayed Morar's
safe and immediate release from prison.

Last week Na'eem was removed from prison at one point, and beaten up
before being taken back to prison. We are very much fearing for the
safety and wellbeing of the brothers.
