because this will be a wide gig?

It does look good, but I cannot really afford all these jolly jaunts to London. Save my monies for NYE, I think.

Everyone who goes, have a good wide one for me.

just for the record, it wasn't that great.

gescom seemed to be andy maddocks and rob hall on this occasion, playing mainly old electro rather than autechre-y stuff.

the ica is a wanky horrible venue as well.

LD is

another forum, that took over when overload stopped earlier this year

yes the ICA is a tedious wanky venue, tis true but i had hoped that ca$$etteboy might have unwanked it if you see what i mean.

that's a shame, although it does make me feel better about having missed such a cracking lineup. been to the ICA once and it doesn't strike me as the best venue for music.

last time i went there ceephax acid crew and cristian and andrew weatherall played. we only caught the end of ceephax. he was well pissed off and said something like 'thanks to all the cunts standing there being ponces' which was fair enough. they did it through cristian's set too. then we had to leave to go back to brighton on the train but it looked like they were about to do it all the way through AW's set too. no dancing, just standing and talking and being ponces.

I found the room to be a bit oppressive and not very conducive to rocking out. then again...when I was there it was to see Fennesz (who was awesome but his set was totally ambient so not exactly moshing music) and Burnt Friedmann + Nu Dub Players (who were really bad, so didn't inspire any movement).

I had a really good laugh (whilst not standing about!), but I suppose that's thanks to who I was with, the wine and the christmas presents we got from Michael Jackson dressed as santa.

cassetteboy and dj rubbish were funny, folk got a bit rowdy when they were on.

goonie i can never imagine you standing about being a ponce. its not in your nature!
