I remember Abe Duque (Disko B) Blew up the speakers..And continued playing (With only the mids) Finally he forgot his headphones and he hid`nt give a shit about it as we returned them to him, saying something like " Oh..so why did`nt you keep them?" ... not to mention the state of his records that were "flying" around in the even worse looking bag....

somone(?) managed to get him (and his manager) so wasted that he was asked to leave the after party at 11am (as the people that owned the house needed sleep)
Which worked out just about right as I had to ship him off to London to play the next night.
Unfortunatly upon meeting the London based promoter Mr Rother(Who had never met this guy) proceeded to hug and kiss him thinking that he was somone that he'd spent the night chatting to.

heard a cute story last night about a well known (half wonky style) techno dj who refused to play until the club went out to get him a bottle of jack daniels, apparently the 3 other types of whiskey available just weren`t suitable for this divas delicate palette.
i think he is now known locally as "the arsey fuck".

Oh that fellow, wossname, Christian Bogle or something - anyway, he played our club, but wouldn't play a note till we'd crushed up some Refreshers for him to snort (pink ones only, about 19 packets' worth) and insisted we provide an oiled boy with a mallet to bang sparrows up his back passage while he DJed.

it seems dj rush was quite restrained at Pure afterparty a few years back then, he sat quite contently crossed legged on the sofa drinking a nice cup of tea and reading 'womans own' while the party raged on around him, quite sweet really....
