Graf has surely gone mass-market and if you wanted any further proof then here it is…
Foxtons one of the biggest estate agents in London equips all its operatives with a mini cooper, individually numbered and emblazoned in the company colours. Each year they change the design and for the 2004 design they’ve recently decided to go all trendy and get with IT – with this tasteful new ‘graf’ design, clearly Straight Outta Hoxton for Foxtons.

You know is it me, or does an Estate Agent, people in the business of selling property – that’s bricks and mortar, embracing graffiti as the style of corporate identity strike anyone as a little fucking stupid. I say we should go out spray their own graf on all of the properties that they are handling – see how they feel about it then?

aerosol art will always remain illegal...

even art made with hairspray?
there are some places in glasgow where it is legal for people to do their graffiti, think there is sumthing similar in edinburgh.
I really like graffiti where they make an effort to do a good piece, but tagging is a bit like pissing all over the city, marking out your territory like silly little doggies.

theres more of those places than you think fist
most people who have never written won't understand tagging ......aslong as it isnt ned mentions or badly placed tags, then most of its ok by me .....also most writers have rules like: don't write on peoples' homes, churches, listed buildings, private property etc.... ..most people who write on these legal walls (hall of fames) tag illegally outside of them to get their name up, thats the game. .most of the 'pissing on the city' graffiti is usually by neds who don;t even know what graffiti or a piece is.

thats a sad state of affairs...makes me angry actually , but this kinda shit has been going on for years... soon the mass market will decide graffiti isnt cool anymore and the ones who are truley into will be left to get on with it as it should be ......happens to alot of things.

bombing,tagging,throw-up´s,style that´s writing...nothing else. true "graffiti" is illegal and will always remain illegal and will always be connected to vandalism. don´t vandalise other people homes that´s all, everything else can be bombed...

i get what yer saying eclairfi, and i understand the whole getting yer name up thing.
i guess i just have some beef with a certain crew, that crashed a party last new year, tagged the place up, including the soundsystems and then started fighting with us, resulting in one of my mates going to hospital to get some metal put in his elbow .
kinda tainted my view of tagging and stuff i guess.
