so on various record lists I have read many techno records reffered to being in a
doffler style. my question is what is that reffering to? is doffler supposed to refer to a specific label: eg. basic channel, purpose maker? or is it reffering more to a specific producer: eg. vogel, beyer?

Sonic groove has used that term in describing a lot of differnet records. Here is one use I found for a claude young track.

probably completely wrong, but i wonder if its a misspelt
reference to either 'doppler fx' the producers or 'doepfer'the
synth/sequencer manufacturers

I dont think that it is a misspelling only because they have used that term many time before. I only gave one example.
