I thought they haven't put out any good record since "Kapital".

I saw them live in 1989. Very remarkable and confusing experience.

the british music magazine 'the wire' does a regular Cd called the wire tapper. i think it might only go to subscribers but this month its some anniversary so maybe its available to everyone

They're playing Glasgow next month, should i go and see them considering the only stuff i've heard are their covers of Queen and Opus?

I really like the last album, even though I had to wait for about three months for the shop to order it in for me.

so his "nero" album was ok, but his best mixes i heard r from the late 90's.in 1995-1998 umek has even worked togehter with few people from greifswald, germany... that was great!

It was my dad that switched me on to them many years ago when he bought Life is Life when it came out. My mum used to hate it though lol

komakid, try to find their old stuffs as Rekapitulacija, Kapital, Nato, Opus Dei, Nova Akropola...

joke? anyway, after having found a video from one of the WAT shows on the internet i have to say the impression i had seeing them playing live here last year was unfortunately not wrong: they actually ruined almost all the tracks from WAT by suppressing the cool and interesting sounds, adding guitar and turning the songs into lame stompers.

i really don't understand why they did this (should probably ask them in hro? ;) ) since the album and also the dvd with all the videos are both so damn great!

I saw them lots of times - 3 i think - in the 90's. Every time an amazing visual experience. Brilliant 16mm films and costumes. I Love to Laibach.I still love the Nato album the best I think - but their version of Sympathy for the Devil is fantastic oh and the Jesus Christ album which I sometimes even now do aerobics to in my bedroom. That whole Slovenian NSK thing is incredible -with its own philosophy thing with Slavoj Zizek. I have a fantastic Laibach poster on my bedroom wall (he only pop poster i own) of a little old lady drinking a cup of tea. Homely yet totalitarian - Like a hand knitted balaclava.

jesus christ superstar was a bad joke, damn crossover crap. metal guitars are what ruined EBM in the 90s, now it's finally over but it was tough to survive it...

the cup-poster rules of course!
