this music is great ! the gux connects sounds cristian used in rescate 137 and busca invisibles with more minimal and floor-orientated ibi alfaish techno !

sounds like ibrahim alfa breakin' the beatz at his best !

i don't pick flowers
sounds just so fuckin' funky that my speakers are close to burst

mandalorian armor
sounds like jamie lidell in super_collider-mood with a lot of sfx and
great broken soundscapes

centuries ago there was a big discussion on this bord.some guys said that he copys sounds from cristians busca album for example(not my opinion), so they disliked it. some liked it a lot (me too)

his rmx of berkovis youre so alien is great too

he used the same samples as cristian for his busca invisibles album; by sampling from.......but we allready had this discuisson double or more often !??

it's a nice album-in my opinion...
you can definitely hear a lot of so called "vogel sounds", but it's probably not easy to do something what doesn't sound,even a little bit,like something else.
"Rescate 137" & "Busca..." are definitely a class of their own, but i like "same place..." too.

oh i wasn't making a comment about the remix, i haven't heard it...just saying the original was killer. i never managed to track it down on vinyl but that reminds me to have another look...

yea, original "alien" is the Bomb, it rocks everytime i play it but remixes are not so good...

it was released on SKH and on Harthouse, the SKH ep has Tarrida's remix and the Harthouse one has Berkovi's track instead (of course both of them contains original "Alien" and Daze's remix)

sorry - i don't visit the message board that often, so i didn't know that there has already been a discussion about it...

but i still think that "same place the bot got smashed" is a great album...maybe it is because i love "busca invisibles" so much...

...and it is not a crime to use sounds someone else has used before, is it ? it is really great music...i can't get enough of music like this and i think that daze maxim is not trying to simply copy the sound of vogel to create his own music...he really has invented his own styled music with the shape of "busca invisibles" !

i got a couple of daze maxims records and i think they are great.
i dont think his style is copied
i think if more people made good records like him then i would have more records to buy, so stop complaining and buy daze`s records and cristians too :)

he does rock. a while ago i ordered 'same place...' from my local record shop...what i got was the 'mathematical breakfast' single, which gives you some idea of the cutting edge efficiency of the aberdeen record supply machine. i still haven't heard 'same place...'

@marcel:no, i can't give you an exaect eaxample as i had to listen attentive to both albums before and i haven't got enough time for.
it all sounds just very similar to me.

there are also some tracks made by daze maxim released on 'GENTLEMAN`S HAIRCUT'. it´s a sublabel from skh, more housy stuff, but also interessting...

sPoRtS and cRiMe ep. on SKH, no.2 I think, is a genius ep and in general ep`s 1-3 are excellent examples of Maxim at his strongest............Kind of in a Landstrumm vein but with more stuff happening.
