last night the U60311 was closed after a drug-raid...16 got arrested! seems that clubs and parties are unter rigid control in germany. people get busted when they go home...even if they use public transport!!! not that i feel sorry for that U thing since it sucked anyway but seems that hardly any clubs are left...

drug raids are definitley not anything new in the states. I have been to several parties that ended up in raids with dogs and swat teams.

it might be my opinion from over here but when i visited the u60 , it felt great.. i know the crowd are half cyberkids and heavy sven worshippers, but the vibe was great and intense.. kinda what i miss in my usual clubbing.. i can imagine that night and crowd might be a let down to the local germans but at least it lively and fresh (espiccially those white dressed mummy inspired UV dancers ) .

i dont know.. but u germans might miss after it's not there.. so think again.. when it comes down the basics.. u just wanna go down to your local club and do a X & beer & babesearch & listen to a few good tunes .. it got checkmate written all over it

drugs busts are funny here cause u know the drugsqaud by face and mostly even by name.. were too small for undercover :)

they raided the u60 cuz everyone knew that the staff was involved in some heavy-ass drug-dealin'. it was all clear to the public anyway.
they came with face-masks and US MilitaryPolice, through the basement, the fuckin' toilet, everywhere.

I just played at an abandoned water filtration plant on the weekend here in Toronto. Police raided just as i was finishing my set...ended up being quite the pain in the ass with them trying to intimidate the lot of us.

Managed to slide my ID out with a friend and give a fake name though, so no trepassing charges for me! (I feel like I've had a second chance to relive something kids get to do when they're young & rebelious!)

he's an artist, and in japan, most of those people get absolutely crazy without drugs, as he said...

i remembber the drug raid on 93 in the old warehouse in cologne. policemens everýwhere und 700 people got their bottles and other things and started to dance and sream. I´ve got one of my greatests goose flesh ever...........i was the last guy, who has left the building

There was a party in Toronto about 6 years ago with John Aquaviva where at about 3am, all the garage doors on the one side slid open at once and a ton of police in riot gear forced everyone out...pure madness!

On the flipside, i went to an outdoor party in a park at night about 5 years ago.... when it got busted and the police were dismantling all the equipment, I (jokingly) started singing 'kum-by-ya my lord'. Soon there was an easy hundred partiers singing 'kum-by-ya' as the police shut it down....golden memory...just golden! The party just reestablished itself down by the waterfront after and continued out the night anyways..

one raid that stands out in my mind was years ago in baltimore at a party on a boat that was supposed to cruise around the harbor. around 12 or 1am the coast gaurd stopped the ship and made it go back to port stating that there were 100 cops w/ dogs ashore. you should have seen all the drugs being thrown into the water. as we came to shore there were 2 dogs and maybe 10 cops. the only people who got arrested were the promoters. oh yeah and one guy on acid flipped out and jumped overboard when he heard about the cops.
