I've posted some pictures I made yesterday at club AB in Brussels. Super Collider live.

I saw Jaimie Lidell live last year at "10 days off" in Gent. I liked it a lot, it's raw, deep, the experience pulls you in and spits you out, leaving you naked, stripped. Impressive and mind altering!
And Jaimie Lidell embedded in Super Collider adds funk to this core experience. The rhythms of every day industrial life's sounds. The funk in nature.

In the movie Pi they look for the omnipresent number in nature, supercollider has found the vibe of this number already.

Yeah, Jamie looks good in this white suit:!

I need an info on the white suit : in Brussels the hood of the suit was in front, so when JL put it on, he had his face covered. He looked even more spooky like that, but I guess it was by mistake he wore it like this ?

how was the drumming? I'm desperate to hear how the tour is going - yeeking's (the drummer) mobile don't work abroad and I'm sitting in a lonely flat waiting for him to come back to my hungry arms and freshly laundered sheets (I even used Ecover conditioner). What was the mood like in Brussels? The pictures looked great!

The white suit with the hood at the front is not, i think, a mistake. Jamie wore the same thing at the RFH. It's good innit, kind of spooky and religious and space age all at the same time. i think it was designed that way. I still think they should perform in their pants tho. they are a band of many shapes and sizes although none of them are blonde.

Full size pictures no problem ! Just send me a mail at gery@appletree.be.
Beware, it's 30 MB !

And the drummer : he was definitely into it. I don't know if they rehearse a lot, but they feel each other very well on stage, knowing when to climax and when to be silent. It were certainly no 4 ind'uhviduals on stage, but a collective of shamanesque proportions.

PS Ecover ? That's belgian :-)

yeeking, the drummer learnt the whole set last week in 3 days, but jamie, james (bass) and yeeking have been in a band together before- it sounds like the old Balzac (their old band) juice was flowing. I can see and hear and 'smell' it all in my minds eye/ear/nose. thanks C-horse for the excellent reportage- somehow i don't feel so lonesome no more...

cool snaps - i don`t seem to be in a single one of them though i was DEFINITELY there.... maybe i should get a bit taller / more photogenic / less invisible ...

it was an AMAZING tour , and we enjoyed all the gigs very much - yes even the Paris crowd ...

full band line up for this little 3 date european tour was Jamie Lidell and me, James `Stevo` of Chungking and Mat Yeeking of Yeeking featurin of course visuals , graffitti and costume by Pablo Fiasco ... just for the record

.... whoop whoop

well, we certainly noticed you, turning knobs and twisting faders :-)

the brussels concert was very nice, lots of positive vibes, very intense...it should have lasted a lot longer imo, it was great fun.

yep and the end was quite strange... it seemed that there were some problems ?! Atleast you guys didn't looked really happy... Was there a technical problem ?

CV
23rd May 2002, 13:22
no there was no problem - - no technical problem - - - apart from not having prepared an encore - the audience really wanted one . . . but Jamie sang an acapella accompanied by drill vision as mentioned earlier in this thread - - don't worry Derb , we are always happy !

there is no backwards... there is only forward s in the headonrush of projectile vision
that is the force of GENRE NOIR the planet eater. be on the lookout for the
upcoming "SHATTER SCREEN" and various other exorcises of collision.
