Trackers out there?

Anyone of you guys allready checked out renoise?
It´s a very good software based on programs like fasttracker or noisetracker. but with:

Easy to use user interface, all-in-one, customizable and user friendly (uses DirectX for fastest response time)
Easy to use arranger (sequencer) and song editor (tracker style)
Integrated sampler, synthesizer and high quality mixer
Integrated sample editor with full sample editing capabilities
Full MIDI support (MIDI playback synchronized with audio latency and can be additionally synchronized manually if necessary)
Full synchronization via MIDI clock as master or slave to external programs (eg. Cubase, etc.) or hardware that is able to receive or send MIDI clock (eg. drum machines, external sequencer, etc.)
ASIO multi I/O cards support (for very low latency) with the ability to route tracks to hardware channels
High quality player (internal 32-bit float point processing, interpolated, click free)
Real-time DSP engine with high quality effects (reverb, echo/delay, compressor, distorsion, flanger, phaser...)
Integrated support for VST Plug-Ins 2.0 (this means even more effects and sound processors)
Unlimited number of effects per track and high speed effects processing
Popular formats support (songs/modules/instruments/samples)
Sampler supports: samples, multisampled samples (multilayered sample splits), loop samples (loops)
Use sounds all at once: Sampler + synthesizer + MIDI audio (as one instrument)
Runs on all 32-bit Windows with DirectX 8.0 installed (Windows 95-98-Me-NT-2000-XP).

you can download it at www.renoise.com (http://www.renoise.com)

Looks interesting...in functionality it resembles making waves, but the interface looks more like one of the more common packages...have you tried making waves...I seem to be the only person on this board who uses it...I'll post a short mp3 tolet you hear what it can do,,, www.makingwavesaudio.co.uk

...Good Oh...Ive got the studio version now, with a 650mhz chip and 192mb it runs pretty fast...I like the interface, but wish I had a bigger screen as the cheapish laptop I have only has a 12.1inch screen....Have you ever used it "live"? I'll be doing this again soon...

yes i did play with it live with two midi-linked computers. but it´s about half a year ago, and we plaid with an older version. what are you going to plan for your performance? Do you really want to play live (like editing, sequencing new tracks) or do you just want to play produced patterns and arrange them? Last thing is no problem i think.
