It's like some marketing wanker has gone "well yeah, I can see the appeal of the Velvet Underground, but what they really need is to be a bit more polished and expensively produced for the stadium audience. And there should be less tunes."

i havent heard the single you are on about, so i`m assuming it must be bad, but i`ve got the album and i like it.

I've heard the single for the upcoming album and I actually liked it pretty much. Can't see what's so bad about them.

I can't quite pin it down, as I love JAMC, Spiritualized, Velevets, all the reference points they are using, but there's just something really WRONG about them that I can't quite put my finger on.

jo whiley is so cool. she wears no socks on tv. how cool is that? she's down with the kids. and the way the camera keeps moving around on her tv show like it was a fucking robert altman movie as she massages some total gakhead popwanker like JK's ego...you cant help but love her. gawd bless her and all who sail in her fantastic radio 1 pop ship where every shit song ever made is fabulous, i say.

the best was when moby was on her tv show. he's very sincere, don't you think? a real artist, you can see the pain in his eyes. almost shed a tear myself, to see him hugging himself in a wonderful display of self deprecation.
moby probably likes the black rubber motorcycle club too.

i once saw him play that "live" in the early 90's. it was too funny, he got onto his key board and put his arms out like jesus on a crucifix.

emef still no sign of cdr. whats happening is there a vortex between us?
re: jo whiley. half open eyes, very annoying . and the minute her guests started opening up and saying interesting stuff, she'd shut them down with a trivial question. they once played 1 minute of a super_collider video on her tv show. had to sit through the whole programme to catch it. load of wank.
although she was the music booker for the word and hence they had nirvana L7 etc but it hardly makes up for anything.

Not that she probably had anything to do with it, but Company Flow rocked the ass outta their studio with 'EndToEndBurners'... Don't often get to hear music THAT heavy on TV period.
p.s. Can ANYONE recommend me a rock/indy/guitar band worth listining to that is either NOT overtly derivative(whether it be MBV, Velvets, Sabbath, Zeppelin) and wasn't around 'at the time'?
I mean, at least Da Williams is taking SHITE to a new level....
