yeah thats been around for ages but it seems to have popped up again...i remember cleaning it off somebody's machine at work last year. it shouldn't be a problem if you've got a reasonably up to date virus shield

yea, i think good antiV protection is a must nowdays, i've got double - my email provider uses antiV to scan all emails and i've got Norton AntiV installed. btw Norton is massive - it protects from all kind of viruses (in files, in emails, on web sites) amd it scans your system (protects from bad/hacked scripts on web sites)

dont think I have it on my Mac, you sent me a mail yesterday saying I did, I have nortonantiv running but I dont think it protects from everything though....
could not seem to find anywhere that says if this thing goes cross platform or not..

@magnum

don't think you're infected, you may have gotten the payload but this is a win32 only virus that exploits a weakness in windows versions of outlook and outlook express.

you're pretty much safe from any w32.xxxx virus as a mac user as far as I kknow...

no way for macs to be viruzzed! not that klez...thingy...but beware of your tongues touching the keybord...no mac is safe for that!

Yep, I agree on that tongue business 100%!

Also I would advise everyone from pouring any vodka/orange juice concoctions into their keyboards; while this may seem like a good idea(tm) at first, keyboards seem to be strict nonalcoholics...

also you're pretty much safe from worms if you don't use outlook on pc.

no PCs are OK, but Microsoft SUCKS!!! they intentionally build op. sys. like WIN98 that can be used only with their software
