Hahaha - I found an original vinyl of this in a shop about 6 months ago and had to buy it cos its such a funny track - was only 99p

Don't have individual tracks on mp3, rather I prefer the intermittent break to go and turn/change records on the record player... call me a traditionalist...

Actually inspired by this thread I am actually taking a squiz around and starting to free up room for more stuff than I'm more likely to listen to.

i'm deleting the atrocious ones as they rear their heads...maybe that's insane, inasmuch as i could be taking the songs entirely out of context, but what the hell, i'm ditching them if they don't stand alone. it's like weeding, innit?

I'd love to know how the Shuffle works - cos it clearly isn't random - I have about 10gig of mp3s at work - mostly, about 95% mixes and live PAs recorded at clubs...

However, hitting shuffle means about every 2 out of 3 tracks is an individual track from one of the 5% of albums that are on my PC. So I think there is probably, some track length involved in the calculation...

Fucking rubbish for listening too... Random play has always been the biggest load of shite - ever. They only put it on CD players because they could and now they carried on with mp3...

The shuffle mode on wniamp isn't random, it says so on the website. It does tend to select the same tracks over and over and it's not as if it's doing any clever AI learning what you like tricks either, it's just badly seeded random number generators. Winamp 3 is supposed to have a much better system.

umm. you can do 'randomize order'. right click on the plylist, its in the sort menu.

Won't that mean it'll just narrow down what you like until only one track remains and get stuck on repeat, playing it over and over again - it'll be like the music industry...

You mean it'll take you to court for playing copyrighter material?
