you lot seem pretty open minded and widely spread ( fnar fnar) when it comes to sounds...
but is there anything you are paticularly NOT listening to at the mo?
me...
metallica..... my girlfriends bro who is living with us at the moment is a SERIOUS metallica head and spends every possible minute he can pumping them out of his stereo in his room..... this can be heard all over madrid..... i dont mind a bit of rock.....but i get this funny tingly feeling everytime he heads for his room now......
to top it....when ever hes not in a " thrash" in his room he air guitars.. moshes and whistles all there stuff all round the flat....
help!
so yeh.. not listening to metallica..... as much as is possible anyway!!
that and the small voice in the back off my head that keeps going on about babies...
AAaaa!

is this the latest bit of bandwagoning going on at the mo...
I was in our company's social commitee meeting the other day, and one of the guys piped up that he only ever goes out in Shoreditch now, because its the ONLY place in the WHOLE of London with anything decent on -
i tell you it wasn't keeping a straight face that I had trouble with, no, it was trying not to spray my tea and shortcake all over the other members...
Admittedly there's probably a lot on in Shoreditch, its just the 'cool' thing that I can't stand - like I'm not part of it, cos I can't be arsed to go an buy a pair of those over-priced Puma pumps - and be just like everyone else.
Man those Puma's tick me off - I see people in them - and you know what they do actually make you walk like a tosser... I've noticed they don't support the whole of the ball of your foot - lending you a bit of a Jamie Oliver swagger... :)
Sorry off-topic rant...

at work i´m forced to listen to radio everyday for a certain amont of time (already a compromise). i had the chance to choose between two channels. one for people 20 years older than me and one for people who should never get old. so on the second one was this nena vs eminem bootleg and they played it every fuckin day twice.
(nena is a german 80ies star...).
the "radio situation" should soon be solved. i just need to find the right baseballbat.

Yup the Radio is shit. So I guess I vote the radio and fucking 50 cent. How many times can they possibly play the same tired ass shit. They should just put that CD on repeat and go home.

Its tunes like that which gave the 80s a bad reputation!

ha ha it's so true,
i also find those visor mullet people very funny. they wear knee boxer boots with combats tucked in, a backwards upside down visor with a stringy vest and a mullet hair cut that costs over £100. i can't help feeling that these people actually look down their coke filled noses at us 'norms'. the thing that gets me is that it's not kids i'm talking about. they should be old enough to know better.
anyway, you won't find me listening to ltj bukem or any progressive drum and bass.

I agree. Early Aphex I love cos it sounds like music. All the rest and recent Aphex sound like someones chucked a drumkit down a long flight of stairs. I don't geddit either..
Even though I've decided to go to the Squarepusher gig here in Liverpool next week for my birthday ... maybe if I'm spannered on the dancefloor it might make sense !

I am not listening to pop "punk" (avril this means you!!!).
any new hip hop that is played on the radio (50 cent, nelly, etc)
and any female singers where the term "diva" is attached. obviously diva is another word that people don't know the true meaning of the word so now anyone and their mother can be considered a diva.

take techno, add house, mix , remove the best elements of each, dilute lots then let stew over a two hour set, and there you have the recepie for tech house!

nothing really bad, virus. just realising that he makes this dumb plain simple music because he has the fear(or more the panic) that his dumb clones wont like him anymore. he just doesnt take any risks because of such a big amount of fear! i mean here in germany he has even become bigger than väth in some places! hes a kind of a god for a lot of em. then youre not trying to give em something besides the things they already now then youre in that situation in what else situation you would do?? its..so..jesus..it makes me so angry!
imo people like him are way more worse to the music and its scene than a scooter or something similar could ever be.

i think its about time we redefined the term 'diva'
Here's some things that should definitely be involved...
1) Smoke lots of fags
2) Drink whisky/brandy like water
3) Sound note perfect and yet still like someone pouring gravel down a drainpipe
4) Erm, super sexy and looks like they can eat a whole boy band for brekkie...
any one got any more...

I would have loved to have shouted in a drunk scottish accent "Shakira yeh areny even Latino?!!"

I'm certainly NOT listening to Craig David right now, wanker needs a cricket bat in the face. Or Mariah Carey, apparently she has a range of over 10 octaves. Can you imagine it, that much range and she still can't find the note she's looking for.
Pink Floyd, they suck and Foreigner, why, why, why? I agree with not listening to Aerosmith though, 20 years making music and all they do is release the same tune. Rock ballads in general, they really suck.
