The event celebrates the culture behind digital modular synthesizer
systems of all types. It will include a day of intensive workshops
and seminars and an evening concert featuring important international
artists of electronic music. Systems in focus will include
Nord Modular, Csound, Max/Msp, Sync Modular, Reaktor,
Modular 3, VAZ Modular, Buzz, CPS, Kyma, and Tassman.
The concert will feature works by Dutch artist Roland Kuit who will
be using many fully expanded Nord Modular systems . Included in the
concert program is German artist Joker Nies who will be performing
using the state of the art Kyma Capybara system. These will be
performed using 5.1 surround systems for a totally immersive
experience. There will be a range of styles including ambient,
experimental/electro-acoustic and dance.
There will also be an opportunity to experience some unique interactive
installations created using Max/Msp and computer animation works made
at LCM2. These include a video color response to music generator
by Barry Rosho.
