anyone heard this, the new 'Nu Dub Players' album?

i'm quite into it - much more mainstream and song-based than his previous - with lots of vocalists. Lovely, spaced out moody nu-skool dub.

But it begs the question, what the hell was he doing with his live performance in London recently? It bore absolutely no resemblance to his music at all!

was i the only one who enjoyed mr friedmans show in london?

i was very much impressed with that show and i though that his music with jaki leibeziet was better live than as a recorded album. what was it exactly that didn't resemble music? fuck, if that was not a beautiful listening experience there's no hope for my plans to be able to entertain a crowd live.

platters: sorry man - i think burntys music is fucking A too, but that performance was just freeform codswallop. there was no structure and no communication between the musicians and ... basically just no songs. just an extended mulch...
